Job Summary

The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for reviewing customs documents for accuracy, presenting these documents for customs clearance, and monitoring these shipments to delivery in a timely manner. This individual will conduct monthly variance analysis on actual logistics metrics vs previous years and identify key trends and issues. They will also ensure contracted carriers are deployed as efficiently and effectively as possible across Lorex’s logistics network at the lowest possible cost options while achieving acceptable service levels.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Liaise and collaborate with suppliers to ensure document accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Schedule, optimize and monitor inbound and outbound logistics for International and domestic shipments within the Supply Chain.
  • Work closely with the broker and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of shipments.
  • Assist Sales, Supply Chain and Customer Service Groups by providing logistics assistance and SAP support.
  • Collect, interpret, and analyze various types of logistics data including availability of product, reliability of transport and delivery, and other data related to product supply chain management, sourcing, and distribution.
  • Develop and maintain monthly dashboards and reports for transportation related to operations and finances.
  • Maintain the Incoming File with Purchase order ship/arrival dates.
  • Maintain accurate carrier rate sheets.
  • Preparation and Communication of Weekly Transload.
  • Arrange intercompany transfers, prepare documentation, and coordinate shipments.
  • Communicate with DCs to resolve Logistics issues as required.
  • Work closely with warehouses to ensure transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Audit freight invoices as required.
  • Act as backup for Supply Chain and Business Analyst.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Background in transportation, customs, warehousing, and supply chain management, or related field with at least 2 years.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Understanding of logistics, supply chain management practices and procedures.
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Independent decision-making ability.

Competency Profile

  • Ability to audit and find discrepancies to ensure freight accuracy.
  • Ability to do data compilation, summary, and reporting.
  • Ability to work with very limited supervision.
  • Ability to work as a team player.

Background Experiences

  • Preferably bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, supply chain management, or related field or 2+ years of related experience.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP management systems is a must.
  • Experience with logistics, customs, warehouse processes, and transportation.
