A leading publicly listed Specialty Insurance Company.
Summary:
Seeking an experienced CPA to lead internal financial reporting and analysis, including monthly and annual financial statements, budgeting, variance analysis, and audit coordination. The role also involves improving financial controls and reporting processes, ensuring IFRS compliance, and managing a small team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis
- Maintain and enhance accounting systems and general ledger controls
- Ensure IFRS compliance (e.g., IFRS 17, 9)
- Support budget preparation and variance analysis
- Coordinate with internal/external auditors
- Collaborate cross-functionally on financial and regulatory reporting projects
- Provide leadership, training, and oversight to finance staff
Qualifications:
- CPA designation with a degree in Accounting or Business
- 7+ years in financial reporting, including 3+ years in a managerial role
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with NetSuite and NSPB is an asset
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
- Experience leading and coaching teams
