About the role

Harvard Developments has an immediate opening for an Accounts Payable & Office Clerk to join its real estate Facility Management team in Edmonton. This position is accountable for providing an exceptional customer experience in dealing with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders while handling accounts payable, supplier contract administration, contact management, business communication, and related office and real estate administration duties for the assigned portfolio.

The company oversees over 9 million square feet of office, retail and industrial properties throughout Western Canada, with offices in Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Regina.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Process weekly cheque & EFT payments to Suppliers;
  • Verify payment support documentation;
  • Manage inquiries related to event bookings;
  • Oversee general tenant communications;
  • Assist with insurance tracking and updating contact information;
  • Various administrative tasks;
  • General office support;
  • Supplier Management - Supplier Applications & Contact Management; and
  • Supplier Contract Tracking & Management

Preference will be given to an individual who possesses:

  • Invoice Payment experience;
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to problem solve and multi-task;
  • Attention to detail;
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to accurately perform mathematical calculations;
  • Moderate skill level in spreadsheet software & word processing;
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing;
  • Cooperative talent to work within a team environment; and
  • Initiative and interest to learn.
