About the role
Are you a hands-on problem solver who loves building things that matter? We're looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join our production team and help bring our top-quality farm equipment to life. In this role, you'll be assembling machinery and components using hand tools, power tools, and your keen mechanical eye. You’ll work from engineering drawings and take pride in seeing machines come together—piece by piece—because of you.
What You'll Be Doing
Assembly & Fabrication
- Assemble, fit, and install prefabricated parts and components using hand and power tools (grinders, trimmers, etc.)
- Align and secure parts using bolts, rivets, and other fasteners
- Connect cables, tubes, and wiring accurately
- Operate small cranes to position larger parts as needed
- Fabricate hydraulic hose assemblies with precision
- Follow technical drawings to build subassemblies and finished farm machinery
Tools, Inventory & Production
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specs, and work orders
- Use software systems to issue and close work orders and manage parts inventory
- Perform basic maintenance on tools and report issues
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with your team and supervisors to meet production goals
- Recommend improvements to processes or tools when needed
- Support other departments with technical and hands-on assistance
Safety First
- Always wear the correct PPE and follow lockout/tagout and safety procedures
- Identify and report hazards or unsafe conditions immediately
- Promote good housekeeping and environmental awareness
- Commit to working safely—every shift, every task
What You Bring
Experience & Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3–5 years of experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or industrial environments
- Hydraulic hose assembly experience is a strong asset
- Experience mounting tires to wheels is a bonus
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machines/tools
- Able to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP systems preferred)
- Familiar with safety laws, policies, and workplace protocols

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and occasional heat
- Moderate to high noise levels (hearing protection may be required)
- Must be able to stand, crouch, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods
- Vision requirements include near/far sight, peripheral, and depth perception
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and work in confined spaces
- Shifts may include overtime and rotational scheduling (day/afternoon)
This is a safety-sensitive position. Pre-employment testing includes:
- Functional fit assessment
- Drug & alcohol screening
- Audiometric and respiratory protection fit testing
Note: Candidates must be clean-shaven when using respiratory protective equipment.
