Heritage Family Services is currently recruiting experienced Child and Youth Care Workers for Awake Night positions in our programs located in Red Deer, Alberta.
The ideal candidate will likely be described by others as authentic, service-focused, responsible, organized, and outgoing. You demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build healthy, supportive relationships with children in your care.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Post-secondary education (or current enrollment) in Social Work or Human Services (certificate, diploma, or degree) is considered a strong asset.
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector, Child Intervention Check, Class 5 Driver’s License, and a Driver’s Abstract (with fewer than 6 demerits) are required as part of pre-employment screening.
- Awareness and respect for Indigenous traditions and culturally appropriate care.
- Demonstrated respect for diverse communities, identities, genders, and sexualities, along with knowledge of related terminology and pronouns.
- Strong cross-cultural communication skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups, including those from socially marginalized backgrounds.

Proof of eligibility to work in Canada
Class 5 Alberta Government Issued Driver’s License
A Driver's Abstract that is dated within the last 6 months
Copy of education listed in resume.
