This position will work directly with the Materials and Logistics Team Lead to ensure a smooth flow of goods from receipt to our manufacturing product lines. You will be expected to embrace and help drive any necessary changes required to achieve our continued goals for this area. The position will focus on internal parts storage and distribution, while supporting the smooth movement of goods from Receiving through to Manufacturing, Service and Shipping.

Key responsibilities

  • Support inventory verification of cycle and physical counts. Investigate and escalate discrepancies for root cause and corrective actions.

  • Physical movements of goods (primarily from the receiving dock to our storage area or Product lines).

  • Kitting of parts and assemblies for Service demands and Sales orders

  • Complete all material data entries and transactions in SAP software.

  • Embrace and encourage lean best practices and continuous improvement within the stores area to optimum efficiency.

  • Liaise with peers to improve the material flow of product through the plant.

  • Assist with other daily tasks as assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements:

  • College Student in Logistics & Supply Chain management programs

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Previous experience is not required, but if you have it, it would be considered an asset

  • Understands the fundamentals of Lean Manufacturing, Kanban and cycle counting

  • Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office 365, including the ability to learn new software quickly and efficiently. Knowledge of SAP is an asset.

  • Basic mathematical skills with ability to calculate simple equations quickly.

  • Reliable, punctual, able to work independently and willing to go the extra mile.

  • Strong organizational & interpersonal skills.

  • Must be detail oriented.

  • Able to lift and carry 20-25 kg on your own and able to tandem lift up to 40kg.

  • Team oriented & highly motivated.

  • Aptitude for logic and fact-finding for investigation processes.
