Bed Booking Clerk, Patient Flow
About the role
The incumbent is responsible for patient throughput and the smooth allocation of Health Centre beds.
Qualifications
- Secondary school diploma or educational equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year recent related experience
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong decision making and problem solving abilities.
- Proven ability to work independently in a high pressure environment.
- Ability to complete job routine accurately and in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Bed Booking procedures and EPIC system an asset.
- MS Office (Intermediate level with Word and Excel), internet and knowledge of databases and data entry required.
- 40 w.p.m. keyboarding.
- Satisfactory attendance record.
