About the Role:

Our client is seeking a Water & Wastewater Lead to join their team in Vancouver, BC. This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a portfolio of water and wastewater projects from concept to completion
• Oversee all phases of project development, including planning, permitting, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning
• Serve as the primary liaison with clients and maintain strong, long-term relationships
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary internal teams and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and contractors
• Prepare and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical documentation
• Ensure all designs and deliverables comply with applicable regulations and standards
• Mentor and guide junior and intermediate staff, supporting professional development
• Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure proactive resolution of issues
• Integrate sustainability and resiliency principles into infrastructure design
• Support business development by identifying opportunities, attending industry events, and contributing to proposal development

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or project management role
• Strong technical background in the design of pump stations, water/wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, and related infrastructure
• Knowledge of permitting processes, environmental regulations (e.g., NPDES), and industry standards (e.g., AWWA, WEF)
