Are you a seasoned credit professional with a passion for strategic impact and operational excellence? Join National Bank’s Automotive Finance Group and play a key role in supporting our national portfolio of automotive clients.
As a Senior Manager, Portfolio Management you will be a trusted expert in evaluating and underwriting complex loan transactions. This high-impact role ensures our credit portfolio remains strong, compliant, and aligned with National Bank’s risk appetite, while also minimizing operational risk.
You’ll work independently and collaboratively, influencing branch and departmental leaders, and providing mentorship to team members. Your insights will help shape credit policy implementation, drive portfolio reviews, and uphold the highest standards of credit control and risk management.
Your Role
- Analyze and underwrite complex commercial credit applications, ensuring alignment with risk appetite and profitability guidelines
- Support business development initiatives by identifying full-service solutions and optimizing client relationships
- Ensure portfolio quality through proactive credit monitoring, risk mitigation, and collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Lead and influence credit structuring and adjudication strategies as a senior subject matter expert
- Coach and mentor less experienced team members, sharing knowledge and fostering development
- Maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards while enhancing operational efficiency
Your team
The Partner Services Vice-Presidency includes more than 50 professionals who work in an agile, proactive and collaborative manner to seize opportunities, stay on the cutting edge of credit practices and continuously improve processes.
Within the Automotive Finance sector, you are part of a national team of specialists and report to the AVP Portfolio Management. Our team stands out for its deep credit expertise, client-focused approach, and strong sense of collaboration. We aim to offer you maximum flexibility to promote your quality of life. Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field
- Possess 7+ years of experience in financial services, including credit adjudication and commercial lending
- Strong financial analysis and business modeling skills
- Expertise in portfolio management, risk assessment, and commercial credit structuring
- Experience in the Automotive Industry
