At our core, we have the best and brightest energy engineers in the industry. We aren’t desk jockeys running theoretical simulations for customers; we learn more onsite by taking a deeper dive into their needs by learning about their operations, their pain points, and knowledge gaps we can help to fill for better operational decision-making capabilities.
Over the last decade, we have focused our engineering capabilities on curating the finest metering products available for electric, gas, water, compressed air, and other fluids. Very few companies have the capability to properly measure what they consume and where they consume it, so our submetering solutions provide actionable insights to enhance their productivity, sustainability, preventative maintenance, and resource planning strategies.
Where We Do It
We don’t believe in geographic restrictions if our customers’ needs take us there. We are headquartered in Toronto, with current projects throughout the U.S., Mexico, and Europe. Our goal is to be an undeniable resource globally for our clients where we can help them establish reporting and benchmarking standards across their portfolio.

Who We’re Looking For
The Account Executive plays a critical role in the continued growth of our company. This person would join our Head office with regular travel to customer sites. This position is responsible for developing new business opportunities within the large commercial and industrial market and building existing relationships to greater heights through an intimate understanding of client needs that our engineering solutions can fulfill.
This position carries a base salary of $50,000 with OTE expectations of $120,000 - $150,000 in the first year as the pipeline is established and over $200,000 OTE in the second year. We don’t play games with upside- you grow as the company grows! If you’re self-motivated and confident in your capabilities to build and develop lasting relationships, this is the role for you!
What You Will Do
- Prospect and develop new leads and opportunities to sell our operational efficiency and energy management solutions
- Build custom quotes, proposals, and presentations to meet customer needs
- Maintain client relationships to facilitate new, repeat, and referral business
- Conduct site visits to collect information on building scope and equipment needed
- Develop strategies to successfully identify and target ‘key accounts’
- Fully utilize our CRM and related data collection tools to track effectiveness of outreach efforts, leverage relationships, and enhance sales results
- Attend training and conferences to remain current with new technologies and offerings
- Participate in lunch-and-learns and webinars to educate potential clients and industry partners
- Meet sales targets through determined KPIs
- Communicate promptly and effectively to serve as a trusted advisor to customers
- Partner effectively with others in the team to ensure swift issue resolution and client satisfaction
What We Require
- Superb verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to manage time and meet deadlines
- Strong initiative and capability to work independently
- Collaborative mindset with clients and team members
- Proficiency with MS Office, CRM, and related software tools
- An Associates or greater degree from a college, technical school, or university, and at least (2) years of sales related experience or training with a proven track record of business-to-business sales.
- Technical aptitude in the industrial/engineering sector is an asset
- A valid, insurable driver’s license

Renteknik’s Certified Building Commissioning and LEED Accredited Professionals have the technology and expertise to collect data on high energy consuming equipment, analyze it in real time and quickly identify areas that require adjustment, upgrading and immediate/future replacement. Renteknik’s solutions will ensure optimal performance for any System and validate that savings are achieved and sustained and ensure that eligible incentives are approved.
