About the Position
ATS Traffic is currently looking for a Dispatcher to join our OSS team in Calgary! In this role you will be responsible for scheduling and dispatching our TCP's, LCT's and Drivers and forecasting workload needs. This position will work with OSS Managers, Supervisors, Coordinators, and Traffic Technicians in order to help navigate projects, equipment and dispatching for the branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling, and dispatching project needs on a daily basis.

- Organize and ensure clear, concise communications with employees regarding status of jobs, delivery/returns, paperwork, procedures, training, meetings and projects
- Assist management team with work orders, jobs and projects
- Responsible for scheduling, Traffic Techs, Flaggers, drivers and organizing the daily dispatch of all jobs
- Maintain the dispatch board, schedule and perform record keeping as needed
- Work with staffing agencies when seasonal staff are required to fulfill a job
- Ensure accuracy of rental contact prior to dispatching drivers
- Completion of appropriate seminars, meetings & training to keep abreast of changes in the industry
- Maintain the on-call schedule for traffic technicians
- Forecast workload & future jobs
- Assist CSP’s & Admin staff with questions/concerns regarding paperwork and customer needs
- approves all flagging hours
- print OSS tickets for job only (TCR)
Qualifications
- Experience in Dispatching, forecasting, and scheduling
- Previous experience in office administration is an asset and experience with Microsoft office 365 operation system essential.
- Experience in the Traffic Control/Construction Industry is an asset
- Knowledge of the rental shop, install, traffic tech, dispatch and coordinator roles
