BGC Niagara is seeking candidates to carry out the duties of Lifeguard/Swim Instructor.
Locations:
- Niagara Falls Centre (8800 McLeod Road, Niagara Falls)
- EJ Freeland Centre (1555 Garrison Rd, Fort Erie)
Position Overview:
The Lifeguard/Swim Instructor position is responsible for the delivery of the programs and services at the assigned BGC Niagara location. The position is accountable to the applicable Supervisor and/or Manager.
Terms of Employment:
- $20.00/HR with NLS
- $21.00/HR with NLS and Swim Instructors
- Part-time, hourly, 0 - 34 hours per week
- Completion of mandatory health and safety training and other employee training
Qualifications:
The successful candidate requires the following:
- Current Police Clearance with Vulnerable Sector Screen that is obtained within the last 6 months
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
- National Lifeguard certification (must be current)
- Swim Instructor certification (must be current)
- Must provide immunization records
Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliverables include but are not exclusive to:
- Provide safe, effective and efficient delivery of BGC of Programs
- Assist with organizing, developing, documenting and implementing of BGC Niagara Programs
- Attendance of staff and participants is recorded
- Accurate records are maintained with respect to program delivery
- Prepare participant evaluations
