About the Position

We are growing and looking for a Business Support Specialist to provide comprehensive administrative, operational, and financial support to our Power Distribution team. This is a key role that helps ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our growing organization. You must have a great attitude, a willingness to learn and the following requirements to be considered for the role.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a business support, accounting, or operations support role.

  • Previous work experience within power distribution, utilities, engineering or other related fields is considered an asset

  • Strong understanding of administrative, operational, and financial processes

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

  • High level of discretion and confidentiality

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment dynamic environment

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing special projects and company initiatives

  • Coordinate internal and external meetings

  • Liaise with various departments to ensure timely flow of information

  • Oversee day-to-day administrative operations to optimize management team time and productivity

  • Coordinate and manage schedules and other communications

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and materials for internal and external meetings

  • Act as a liaison between the Business Leader and internal teams, clients, and stakeholders

  • Manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion

  • Liaise with accounting and finance teams to ensure accuracy and compliance

  • Assist with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

  • Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and other financial materials, providing regular updates to the Business Leader

  • Support vendor management, contract administration, and procurement processes
