We are Plasman. And we are One Driving Force. Plasman is currently seeking a new member to join our Tecumseh Manufacturing team as a:

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, our ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with strong communication skills and a hands-on, problem-solving approach.

They bring strong technical skills, prioritize safety, and work well in a team-oriented manufacturing environment, ensuring equipment and facilities are maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance on electrical, pneumatic, robotic, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment, as well as building repairs, to support quality and production goals
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications
  • Work independently and collaboratively with maintenance team members to complete assigned tasks
  • Perform repairs or fabrications on building components as needed to support facility upkeep
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times
  • Recommend and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Clean and maintain paint guns and all related components as necessary
  • Troubleshoot and support the Paint and Robotics departments with clean room-related issues
  • Provide accurate data and information for maintenance-related reporting
  • Promote associate awareness of and adherence to ISO/IATF 16949 (including ISO 9001), and ISO 14001 standards, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Support management system audits by providing evidence of compliance with relevant standards and procedures

Qualifications, Skills And Experience We're Looking For

  • Licensed Industrial Millwright (433A) or 442A Industrial Electrician trade license from a recognized provincial authority is required
  • Experience with paint application equipment is considered an asset
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems is required
  • Experience with robotics, PLCs, and paint application in a manufacturing setting is preferred; however, we are willing to train candidates with strong technical aptitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Other Requirements

  • Self-motivated and eager to learn
  • Able to perform effectively in high-pressure situations
  • Willing and able to work various shift rotations, including midnights
  • Physically capable of performing essential duties (e.g., walking, lifting, climbing, working in awkward or extended positions)
  • Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed
