Are you a sharp, detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment? The Railway Financial Group is looking for a full-time Accountant to join our team and grow with us.
Company Description

Based in St. Boniface, Winnipeg, we pride ourselves on providing high-level financial guidance with the responsiveness and personality of a boutique firm. Our clients are entrepreneurs, tradespeople, consultants, and changemakers - and they count on us to help them stay on track.
Role Description
As an Accountant at TRFG, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of clients and deliver timely, accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial insights. You’ll be supported by our systems and leadership, but expected to think critically, solve problems, and bring a high degree of care to every engagement.
What You’ll Do
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for small to medium-sized business clients
- Prepare adjusting journal entries, reconciliations, and working papers
- Assist in preparing year-end packages for external accountants
- Manage multiple client files concurrently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

- Contribute to building and improving our internal systems, processes, and client tools
- Leverage software like QBO, Xero, Dext, Hubdoc, Plooto, and Payworks to create efficiencies
You Might Be a Fit If:
- Have 2–5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Are pursuing or have completed a CPA designation
- Are comfortable with cloud accounting tools and can learn new systems quickly
- Take initiative, communicate clearly, and are highly accountable
- Value entrepreneurial spirit and want to help small business owners thrive
- Can work independently but value being part of a close-knit team
What We Offer
- Competitive salary based on experience
- Opportunity to grow with an emerging firm that values innovation and real relationships
- Flexible hybrid work environment
- A seat at the table — your input, feedback, and ideas matter
- Exposure to a wide variety of industries and client types
- Coffee perks from our sister brand, Railway Roasters
