About the role

The Human Resources Generalist is a collaborative and organized professional who is passionate about fostering a people-centric work environment. Reporting the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), this individual will provide HR guidance and support across the Food and Beverage (F&B) business unit, contributing to the development of an inclusive and engaged culture.

Responsibilities

  • This role will be dedicated HR support to our Food and Beverage business unit.
  • Lead full cycle F&B recruitment including creating job postings, resume screening, conducting interviews, and support offer negotiations in a timely manner for full-time and part-time positions.
  • Draft new hire and internal movement employment letters for F&B employees.
  • Work with F&B managers on strategies to recruit top talent based on workforce plans and budget.
  • Build relationships with F&B leadership to understand their business needs and hiring practices.
  • Support F&B hiring managers on completing a day one agenda for new hires and transition plan when required.
  • Engage F&B leaders in all recruitment activities and present participation requirements as necessary for any internal and external job fairs.
  • Create and support recruiting analytics for the HR team.
  • Support HRBP’s with F&B termination process including in lieu payment calculations, drafting termination letters and conducting termination meetings.
  • Support HRBP’s in F&B employee relations meetings, investigations and disciplinary meetings.
  • Support HRBP’s with F&B employee set up within UKG, benefits and allowances.
  • Support In person Health & Safety Training.
  • Assist in building and facilitating F&B Manager Training Program.
  • Draft F&B disciplinary forms for managers as required.
  • Support the administration team with F&B employee benefit & RRSP enrolment and changes.
  • Actively participate in safety programs and follow policies;
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of working experience in a Human Resources Generalist or Coordinator capacity in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience working within Food and Beverage considered an asset.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Collaborative with HR colleagues and the business, with the ability to be resourceful and autonomous.
  • Demonstrated ability to practice and show empathy, while building strong working relationships within the HR team and business.
  • Demonstrated sound judgement and decision making skills with strong organizational skills, with ability to know when to escalate for resolution support.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eagerness and willingness to learn all areas associated with the F&B business unit.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy to be successful in this role.
  • Understanding and knowledge with computer programs is considered an asset(i.e. HR Systems, Microsoft Suite, etc).
  • Must be able to handle highly sensitive and confidential information pertaining to employees
