About the role
Part time Coltrans and Paratransit required.
Days and Weekend coverage.
Reporting directly to the Transit Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for driving the Coltrans Transit buses on designated routes in the town of Collingwood while providing safe, reliable and professional transportation for passengers. Compliance to Ministry of Transportation, company and town policies are mandatory. Maintaining a professional and cordial relationship with all passengers, the public, other motorists, and other company employees is critical. Familiarity with the Town of Collingwood is an asset. Safety and positive customer relations are the cornerstones of this position as is a demonstrated willingness to assist dispatch.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Grade 10 education or equivalency. A BZ class license is required. A minimum of 2 years bus driving experience would be an asset. All transit routes require a driver to be wheelchair trained (training will be provided if needed). Working knowledge of the Highway Traffic Act. Demonstrated customer service experience. Incumbents must be able to work independently, show initiative and be able to follow assigned routes

Pay: Up to $20.50 per hour
