Airport Manager

BASIS: FULL-TIME, PERMANENT | CLOSING DATE: AUGUST 8, 2025, AT 9:00 AM

The Airport Manager is responsible for effective day-to- day operations of the airport, safety management, emergency preparedness and response, incident/accident investigations, operational site management, infrastructure management, and marketing.

Key Responsibilities
Under the general guidance of the Director of Community Safety & Development, the Airport Manager is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the West Kootenay Regional Airport. This includes ensuring operational outcomes and regulatory compliance, fiscal management, and service and supply contracts.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have post-secondary education in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field. They will also have 5 years’ progressive experience in airport operations or management and demonstrated experience with regulatory compliance (e.g. Transport Canada).
