Position Overview:
The Membership Outreach Coordinator is responsible for growing the membership base and expanding sponsorship opportunities for the BC Landscape & Nursery Association. This dynamic role involves identifying and following up on membership leads, attending industry events to promote the organization, and working with internal teams to communicate membership value. The Outreach Coordinator collaborates closely with the Membership Services Administrator to ensure a seamless onboarding experience and to support the development of marketing campaigns aimed at membership growth.
Key Responsibilities:
· Identify and follow up on prospective member leads
· Attend recruitment events, trade shows, and industry networking functions
· Promote BCLNA membership benefits to potential members
· Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing Coordinator to develop promotional materials
· Coordinate with Member Services Administrator
· Track all outreach activities and lead conversion progress in the Salesforce CRM
· Assist in developing sponsorship packages and securing event sponsors
· Support the onboarding process in collaboration with the Membership Services Administrator
· Lead resource for the Supplier Advisory Group – meetings, minutes, relationship
· Prepare reports for management and the Board on outreach and recruitment outcomes
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field (required)
· Strong background in sales, business development, or client relationship management
· Experience in sales, outreach, or member recruitment in non-profit or association experience an asset
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage a diverse audience
· Proactive and goal-oriented mindset
· Ability to attend in-person events and represent BCLNA professionally
· Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
· Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM tools
· Team-oriented, adaptable, and enthusiastic about the horticulture industry
· Knowledge of or experience in the horticulture industry is considered a strong asset
