Location: Toronto Office, Hybrid

Your opportunity
We are looking for an Estate Administrator with experience in the full administration of bankruptcies and receiverships for our corporate insolvency practice. The successful candidate must be able to complete a file from beginning to the end. This role reports to a Trustee at the firm.
Your major responsibilities
- Assist in asset administration of both secured and unsecured assets
- Prepare and review Statement of Affairs
- Enter proof of claims, taxation and trustee discharge applications
- Prepare notice to creditors
- Prepare Wage Earners Protection Plan Act claims
- Draft section 245 and 246 reports
- Meet with the Trustee to prepare him or her for court appearances
- Communicate with bankrupts, debtors, counsel and creditors in writing and by telephone
- Other duties as assigned
What we look for
- College Diploma in Business or Administration
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in an Estate Administrator role
- Expert Ascend experience a strong asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Extremely detailed oriented with strong analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage a busy workload
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid understanding of business professionalism and the ability to work in a team environment
