MVR Digital is seeking a Director of Paid Media and Strategist to oversee paid media strategy, planning, execution, and optimization across Google, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, and more.
This senior role will serve as the primary media point of contact for key client relationships, ensuring campaigns align with business goals and exceed performance expectations. You’ll also lead and mentor a team of media buyers, turning complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
Client-Facing Media Strategy & Account Leadership
- Develop and execute integrated paid media strategies aligned with client goals, KPIs, and budgets.
- Act as senior media advisor in client meetings, presenting strategy, results, and actionable recommendations.
- Translate technical media data into clear business insights.
- Collaborate on campaign planning, creative briefs, timelines, and budgets.
- Identify risks and underperformance early, managing client expectations proactively.
- Lead quarterly/monthly business reviews to recap wins and plan next steps.
Team Leadership & Executional Oversight
- Directly manage and mentor all media buyers, offering guidance and feedback.
- Review campaign plans, troubleshoot issues, and ensure top performance.
- Step in to support tactical execution as needed.
- Conduct regular 1:1s to maintain alignment and accountability.
- Collaborate closely with brand strategists, creatives, and analysts.
- Monitor pacing, budgets, and testing across channels.
Cross-Channel Media Execution
- Oversee campaigns across SEM, paid social, and programmatic platforms including Google, Meta, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft, and others.
- Guide creative testing, messaging alignment, and full-funnel execution.
- Support tracking infrastructure, attribution tools, pixel/tag setup, and analytics.
- Utilize GA4, Looker Studio, Meta Business Manager, and native platform tools for data-driven decisions.
- Analyze data by audience segments, keywords, placements, and creative to optimize performance.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in digital marketing, strategic client success, or media buying, managing large budgets ($500,000/month+) and cross-channel strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Proven leadership skills managing high-performance teams.
- Expertise in SEM, paid social, attribution models, and analytics platforms (GA4, Looker Studio).
- Exceptional communicator able to translate data into strategic recommendations.
- Experience thriving in a remote, fast-paced environment.
Location & Compensation
- Location: Remote (Must reside in Canada)
- Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time, Contract
- Compensation: Negotiable
