About the role

Mint Construction is seeking an experienced individual to be a Carpenter/Renovator for Mid size construction projects primarily in the Winnipeg area. Our service is catered toward a combination of both residential (New Build & Renovations) and Commercial (Tenant Fit-outs & Renovations) that require a knowledgeable, skilled hand to lead by example and execute properly.

Professionalism, experience, punctuality, and attention to detail is absolutely paramount to the success of an eligible candidate.

Projects and responsibilities involve but are not limited to:

  • Commercial Tenant Build Outs.
  • The ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
  • Work alongside crew performing carpentry and general labour as required.
  • Experience with wood and steel stud framing. Drywalling. Flooring, Carpentry and a general knowledge of plumbing and electrical.
  • Providing operations manager with progress updates.
  • Creating and forecasting material orders.
  • Foster a safe work environment and follow any applicable safety requirements.

The ideal candidate WILL have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in the Construction Industry
  • Credited References and examples of work.
  • Have your own tools.
  • Valid Drivers and have reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to work minimum 40 hours a week.
  • Professionalism, punctuality, leadership qualities.
  • Organized; you effectively manage your time while balancing multiple priorities.

  • Capability of independently handling many tasks.
  • Goal-oriented, work well under pressure and can meet demanding deadlines.
  • Strong client service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.

  • Strong work ethics & leadership qualities.
  • Understanding of the current regulations within the field.
  • Compliance with local building codes, and health and safety regulations.
  • Be able to lift up to 50lb’s.
  • Climbing ladders and working at heights.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Additional pay:

  • Overtime pay
