About The Team Reporting to the Manager of Market Data Operations within the Data Vendors team, our successful hire will contribute to the team mandate, which is responsible for the support, analysis, sourcing and managing 3rd party vendors such as (Bloomberg, MSCI, LSEG, S&P etc..) used within PSP.
Key responsibilities with the Data Vendors team include reporting Market Data P&L & inventory to our business partners, as well as manage contracts and services relating to our licensed vendors. Lastly, participate in internal/external meetings understanding business needs and recommending the appropriate vendor solutions to be utilized and sourced within PSP’s target operating model.
About Your Role As an Intern, Data Vendors , you’ll:
- Organize and maintain up to date our market data software tool
- Participate in the management of market data inventory (moves, additions & cancellations)
- Assist with invoicing validation and reconciliation
- Liaise with various internal teams such as Privacy, Legal, FP&A, Accounting and Information Security to ensure the accuracy of our market data spend and completion of contractual processes while respecting internal PSP policies and any other applicable regulations
- Participate in creating, sharing and documenting operational processes within the data vendors team
- Participate in the analysis of the market data budget by working with Power BI
- Participate in updating service level objectives and other processes, as required
What You’ll Need
- Enrolled in Bachelor’s program in Information Technology Management or Business Administration, law or other any related field
- Experience with Microsoft products (Exchange, Power BI, Word, Excel, MS Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.)
- Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy
- Effective communications skills, both written and spoken
- Demonstrated initiative and curiosity to look beyond surface facts and conduct comprehensive, fact-based, value-added research
- Attention to detail and rigorous approach to research, analysis and documentation
- Must return to studies after the internship or the internship must be part of your curriculum
- Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
- Candidates must have the right to work in Canada* for the period specified to be considered for this position. No support to obtain the right to work will be provided.
