About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Convenience Store Operator to manage the day-to-day operations of our store. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on retail experience, strong leadership skills, and a customer-first mindset. You’ll be responsible for overseeing inventory, staff, customer service, and ensuring the store runs efficiently and profitably.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily store operations including opening/closing procedures
• Supervise, schedule, and train store staff
• Ensure excellent customer service and handle complaints professionally
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders with vendors
• Maintain accurate cash handling and daily sales reconciliation
• Ensure the store meets cleanliness, safety, and regulatory standards
• Oversee lottery, tobacco, alcohol (if applicable), and compliance requirements
• Prepare and review sales and expense reports

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in retail/convenience store operations
• Proven ability to manage staff and work independently
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and leadership skills
• Experience with POS systems and inventory management
• Smart Serve and Food Handling Certification (preferred or required, depending on store)
• Able to lift 20–30 lbs and work standing for extended periods
• Flexible to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
