Under the supervision of the Department Manager – Materials, the Scheduler II is responsible for the timely release of the production schedule to operations while supporting customer service requirements and the needs of a high performing manufacturing facility.

The Scheduler II meets and/or exceeds product availability expectations and assists in achieving operational KPI’s (such as Customer Service levels, Schedule Attainment, continuous improvement initiatives and process improvements within Scheduling). In addition, the Scheduler II must work cross-functionally with various teams to meet departmental objectives. The Scheduler II will also manage, develop and maintain relationships with internal and external suppliers.

Responsibilities:

  • Working in SAP S4 HANA to schedule (sequence) material on designated production resources to minimize changeovers while meeting service target levels. Planning of future production to meet inventory, safety stock objectives, and service targets within resource capacity constraints
  • Understand and monitor master data settings in SAP to ensure correct parameters are being used
  • Near term scheduling of selected production lines within SAP
  • Scheduling production of new products or changes to existing products to meet project timing while minimizing scrap/loss
  • Communication with all internal and external customers on production dates, inventory levels, raw material shortages, overtime, weekend production, capacity issues
  • Daily KPI reporting for production lines

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Business, Supply Chain or related field

  • APICS certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 3+ years work experience in a planning or purchasing role, specifically within materials / inventory management
