Job Overview:
As Cook 3, you will prepare cold food items such as salads, sandwiches, and cold entrees according to recipes and portion standards. You will assist with kitchen duties and support other team members during peak times, ensuring that high-quality dishes are delivered to our guests in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare salads, sandwiches, cold food entrées, and other items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure portion control and monitor food usage to reduce waste.
- Keep all work areas clean, organized, and sanitized throughout shifts.
- Clean and maintain work surfaces, reach-ins, walk-ins, counters, and other prep areas.
- Report any equipment issues or safety concerns to a supervisor.
- Maintain proper stock and equipment levels at assigned stations.
- Advise supervisor of inventory shortages or quality concerns.
- Perform receiving and inventory duties as assigned; restock supplies as needed.
- Support cooks and stewards during peak business hours to maintain smooth operations.
- Communicate and coordinate with other departments including Catering, Banquets, Outlets, Maintenance, and Guest Services to promote efficiency and teamwork.
- Follow all recipes and company standards in preparing food items.
- Assist with additional duties as needed to support kitchen operations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills; some prior food preparation experience preferred.
- Friendly, guest-focused attitude with a strong sense of hospitality.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet or move throughout the kitchen for extended periods.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
