Job Summary To assist engineers to improve and increase manufacturing processes, layout and equipment modifications in a safe and compliant manner, ultimately increasing output.
Job Responsibilities Work closely with the Area Engineers, Facility team members, Manufacturing Operators, Maintenance Technicians, Validation team members. Analyze production systems, layout and packaging processes in order to make continuous improvements focusing on Safety, Quality and Productivity.
- Work with internal customers in the development, and implementation of continuous improvement projects
- Liaison with internal customers, suppliers and contractors in the co-ordination of engineering project activities.
- Work in a team to problem solve incidents, issues and deviations.
- Assist the engineering group in evaluating production data using spreadsheets and databases, and performing quantitative/qualitative analysis.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new and modified equipment.
- Complete equipment installation and operational qualifications (IQ/OQ"s) for new and existing machinery/processes and maintenance/operational Standard Operational Procedures (SOP's) as required.
- Ensure that all work is performed in full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP's), SOP's and in accordance with established Safety Standards.
- Works as a member of a team to achieve all outcomes.
- Performs all work in support of our Corporate Values of Pride, Accountability, Integrity and Diligence; Demonstrates strong and visible support of our values.
- Performs all work in accordance with all established regulatory and compliance and safety requirements.
- All other duties as assigned
Job Requirements Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities and Experience
- Mechanical or Chemical Engineering student in 3rd or greater work term
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Word, Excel and Power Point are essential. MSAccess would also be beneficial.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of basic Healthcare regulatory requirements would be helpful
