Role Requirements
- Previous experience working with software solutions and promoting its quality, ideally in an Agile environment
- Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycles (SDLCs)
- Verbal and written communication skills; especially when verbally communicating and writing defects in a language that audiences of different backgrounds can understand
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Can work independently and also collaborate well with other team members remotely
- Documentation writing skills
- Comfortable taking quality ownership and contributing to preventing problems
Role Responsibilities
- Regularly create and update test scenarios/cases
- Review software requirements & designs to identify user flow gaps, and opportunities for software quality improvement
- Identify and clearly report on defects and unintentional software behaviour
- Perform manual testing for our web and mobile applications
- Perform isolation testing and conduct root cause analysis for our web and mobile applications as needed
- Meet deadlines and have all required testing activities complete prior to release
- Employ various testing techniques when needed (API, performance, accessibility, localization testing)
