Project Worker - Senior, Golden Agers Club
(Full-time Contract Until December 31, 2026 - 2 Positions)
CCS is a settlement agency providing a wide range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of race, religion or immigration status.
We are searching for two temporary full time Project Worker- Senior, Golden Agers Club to provide settlement information and referral services as well as programming activities for seniors.

W****hat you will be doing:

Provide client-centered counselling services, including information and orientation at CCS offices and other community partner locations.

Use initial intake of seniors to develop personalized settlement plans and formal follow ups.

Facilitate appropriate internal/external referrals to services required by clients that are not been provided by the program.

Organize, plan and facilitate group activities to address diverse clients’ needs.

Provide in-person and online information sessions and group activities.
-
Develop and implement community outreach plans to promote the services and activities.

Actively participate in regular team and regional meetings.

Maintain and update all client information in the OCMS database.

Prepare and submit timely statistical and progress reports as required.

Others:

Participate on agency committees and special projects as assigned

Participate in agency fundraising activities as deemed appropriate and necessary

Attend required agency activities and meetings
What are we looking for?
- Social Service Work diploma or Social Work degree from recognized institution or equivalent training in community work sectors
- Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in the settlement and/or community work sectors.
- proven work experience in client-centred service delivery and group facilitation.
- A valid Social Insurance Number and legally entitled to work in Canada under relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
- Successful completion of a background check and/or vulnerable sector check upon hire
Location: Location : Peel Region, ON
Compensation: $29.67- 31.29 per hour based on the experience
Hours of work: 35 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and occasional overtime as required

Catholic Crosscultural Services (CCS) is a GTA-based, national non-profit organization, providing programs and services to empower newcomers, immigrants and refugees to settle, integrate and prosper in Canada.
From its humble beginnings in a downtown Toronto church in 1954, CCS has grown into one of the largest settlement organizations in Canada. More than 200 employees and 100's of volunteers deliver culturally-sensitive and linguistically appropriate programs and services in more than thirty languages.
We serve all newcomers -- regardless of race, religion, age, country of origin, sexual orientation, immigration status, or political affiliation -- from eight locations across Scarborough, Mississauga and Brampton, and in collaboration with over 40 community partners.
