Role Overview
As part of a global team working with one of the world’s leading streaming platforms, Music Data Analysts will assess the accuracy and quality of AI-generated music selections. This role requires an understanding of popular music and related genres within a specific geographic region, as well as strong research, fact-checking, and analytical skills. By providing qualitative feedback and scoring AI recommendations, evaluators will help refine music discovery and enhance the user experience for millions of listeners worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-generated music selections for accuracy, relevance, and cultural sensitivity
- Provide qualitative feedback to improve recommendations
- Rank results based on an established style guide and client-provided criteria
- Conduct thorough research and fact-checking to verify music-related information
- Collaborate with your territory lead and team to maintain consistency in evaluations
- Follow detailed guidelines and quality benchmarks to ensure high editorial standards
Qualifications
- Knowledge of music history and popular music, particularly within a specific geographic region
- Experience in high-volume editorial work, research, or fact-checking
- Detail-oriented; strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Resourceful and skilled in conducting in-depth music-related research
- Comfortable working in a remote, distributed team environment
- English proficiency is required.

Compensation
We provide competitive, market-adjusted rates for project-based work across all territories. U.S.-based contractors earn $20-30 USD per hour. Compensation for contractors based outside the U.S. is benchmarked against industry data and regional market analysis to ensure competitive local market rates . Final rates are established based on experience, expertise, and demonstrated skills in music evaluation and research.
