Description Job Description Ontario Shores, Assessment and Reintegration Program (ARP) is currently seeking a Clinical Manager.

The Assessment Reintegration Program (ARP) in-patient service provides assessment and brief stabilization for adults with complex, severe and persistent mental illness. Reporting to the Administrative Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for: providing leadership and coordinating the interdisciplinary team; scheduling of staff; managing human resources, including recruitment, career development, and performance management; providing leadership in service planning, development, implementation, and evaluation; assume a lead role in quality improvement initiatives in alignment with the strategic directions of the Centre. You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. You will have financial responsibility for developing and monitoring the budget. You will be responsible for the identification and development of educational requirements for the Unit, and for providing clinical supervision to members of the clinical team, in collaboration with the Professional Practice Leaders.

In the role of Clinical Manager, you will provide exemplary clinical leadership to the team, apply your well-honed management skills in a unionized setting and support consultation to internal stakeholders on all aspects of Assessment and Reintegration Program (ARP) services. You must be able to work in a collaborative, open and client-centered approach with staff and various stakeholders alike.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Health Related Discipline preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years recent clinical or administrative experience in a Mental Health setting
  • Member of a Professional Association (RNAO) is preferred
  • Community development/partnership experience required
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of the challenges involved in community reintegration of long-stay psychiatric inpatients and knowledge of the resources available.
  • Experience working with adults in crisis, skills leading multidisciplinary staff, contributing to development, delivery and evaluation of services is required.
  • Proficiency in the management of budget and statistical data and managing in a unionized environment is a definite asset
  • Experience with labour related issues. (i.e. grievances, investigations, counseling)
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills are necessary
  • Ability to problem-solve creatively
  • Demonstrated good attendance
  • Superior interpersonal, coaching and leadership skills to facilitate identification and development of staff learning needs
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, conflict resolution and critical thinking abilities
  • Meditech experience preferred
