Located on Victoria’s beautiful inner harbour in the heart of the tourism zone, Hotel Grand Pacific is a proud member of the Preferred Hotels and Resorts collection. As a supervisory member of the Housekeeping team, the chosen candidate will play an important role in helping our independent hotel provide a superior level of service to our guests.

Shifts can start: 8:30 am, 9:00 am, 9:30 am, 10:00 am.

This is a Temporary position from June to September.

Duties:

· Assist in the direction of workload & ensure Room Attendants complete room assignments on time

· Inspect guest rooms to ensure they meet or exceed accepted standards

· Monitor the performance level of housekeeping staff, providing feedback and coaching when required

· Assist with the training of new Room Attendants

· Ensure that all health and safety practices are being adhered to

· Open or close the housekeeping office in the absence of the Executive or Assistant Housekeeper

· Responsible for Lost & Found administration, security and control

· Other support as required by Housekeeping Management

What We’re Looking For:

· 4 years of Housekeeping experience in a luxury property

· Experience directing & supervising the work of room attendants

· Excellent interpersonal skills & professional communication skills

· Proven coaching skills & the ability to provide constructive feedback

· Proficiency with MS Office Suites including Excel

· Working knowledge of Opera PMS is preferred
