About the role
Position Information:
This position provides clerical support to the First Responders Mental Health team.
Essential Job Functions:
-
Call workers and booking CA appointments.
-
Follow up assessments, and Psychiatry consults with psychiatry and psychology – this includes adding workers into Pari Connect and Greenspace and sending assessments, sending appointment information emails, creating WebEx links to be sent to worker and psychiatry and psychology, and adding workers into the Cerner scheduling system.

Enter statistical data into Infomed, adding appointments for social work into Momentum.

Send satisfaction surveys, faxes, take meeting minutes, schedule workers into the Cerner scheduling system for group appointments.

Reminder calls for workers who have not completed their assessments before their CA’s, and close d/c workers in Momentum, Infomed, and moving active chart to closed charts.
Qualifications:
-
Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent is required
-
2 -3 years’ work experience in a clerical position
-
Previous experience working in a medical setting (preferably in a Mental Health Unit) is essential.

Strong communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to handle confidential information with tact and diplomacy
-
Must have the ability to work independently without supervision
-
Demonstrating patience when dealing with difficult situations brought on by patients/clients is required.
-
Must be able to show initiative and make independent decisions when needed.

Excellent typing and computer skills are essential; as is the ability to transcribe from machine diction and utilize different technology such as: printers/scanners/copiers, telephones, Momentum, wrist band printer, etc.

Must be able to work efficiently under pressure

Satisfactory vulnerable person’s sector criminal background check.

Internal candidates must have satisfactory attendance and performance appraisal in current position.

Documented commitment to continuing education through inservice, staff meetings and self-motivated learning.

A new 178 bed capacity, full-service community hospital opened on August 26, 2011.
