Guided by the values of the company the Technical Sales Agronomist is part of a team of experts responsible for technical support of ADAMA current commercial products and for carrying out Research Authorizations for the ADAMA development pipeline products. The Technical Sales Agronomist team will develop and maintain business relationships with internal and external influencers strategic to ADAMA in an assigned geography. Location: South-west Prairie region (Southern Alberta/South-west Saskatchewan)

Fundamental Areas of Focus:
-
Technical go-to-person for internal ADAMA teammates (Regional Sales, Area Business Managers, and Account Managers) as well as retail customers and key area influencers (consultants, academics, and retail agronomists) to effectively communicate the value of ADAMA innovations and products.

Coordination & execution of Research Authorizations to support pipeline and future product needs.

Assists on developing protocols, assign locations and summarizes data to validate or challenge business plan technical assumptions and support development of commercial demand creation messages. Support ideation efforts within region regarding potential future development of the ADAMA pipeline.

Keep abreast and make recommendations of current trends, practices, developments and regulatory changes, which could impact products.

Assist Marketing Team with creation and maintenance of technical selling materials and resources.

Assist Area Business Managers in resolution of Product Performance inquiries (specifically the ones where additional agronomic support is needed).

Conduct agronomy-focused meetings with retail and grower customers

Establish protocols and coordinate set up of field tours (Knowledge sites)

Develop an area action plan that includes maintenance and growth of strategic business relationships with key customers complementing Area Business Managers objectives in local territories
Talent and Knack:
-
Degree in agricultural life sciences such as weed science or agronomy, and a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a related field.

Strong understanding of crop-level dynamics and how assets can come together in a portfolio.

Scientific approach with effective communications skills and business acumen.
-
Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite.

Strong knowledge and understanding of the Canada crop protection market and products.

Written and oral skills to communicate with all levels of business.

Driven to deliver results; executes with purpose but also with agility.
