ROLE: Sustainability Co-op Internship (4-months – Mississauga, ON)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Sustainability Co-op Intern to join our team, reporting to the Director of CSR (Sustainability) and Community Investment. This is an exciting opportunity for a student eager to gain hands-on experience working for a Canadian company committed to sustainability, through data entry and collection, research, and engagement initiatives. Role: Sustainability Co-op Internship (4-months – Mississauga, ON)

Reports to: Director, CSR & Community Investment

Work Mode: Hybrid (onsite 2-days a week)

Address: 940 Matheson Blvd. E. Mississauga, ON L4W 2R8

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Shift/Time: Mon-Fri, (9:00am-5:00pm)

Term: Temporary-Full Time, 4-months (Aug 2025 – Dec 2025)

Education: 2nd year or above College or University

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Management

  • Collect, enter, and manage environmental data (e.g., energy, waste, water, GHG emissions) using software tools.
  • Track progress on sustainability goals and maintain accurate records for key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Prepare basic reports and summaries to support sustainability tracking and decision-making.
  • Collect and consolidate relevant data from internal systems to support customer reporting needs and audits.

Research & Reporting

  • Conduct research on sustainability topics and summarize findings.
  • Assist with implementing initiatives and collecting information for the annual Sustainability Report.
  • Support the preparation of internal and external communication materials.

Employee & Community Engagement

  • Help organize and participate in employee volunteer and community investment activities.
  • Track donations, volunteer hours, and contribute ideas during team meetings to enhance sustainability efforts.

Project & Administrative Support

  • Provide coordination and administrative support for sustainability projects and the Director of CSR.
  • Maintain organized digital files and update content on SharePoint.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled in a College or University program in Sustainability, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field (2nd year or above preferred).
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently and collaboratively.
  • Eagerness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., CDP, GRI) is an asset.
  • Previous experience in an office environment is preferred.
