Established in 1963, Strescon Limited has grown to become the largest precast, pre-stressed concrete manufacturer in Eastern Canada. Its primary market covers the Atlantic Provinces and the New England region of the United States. Strescon manufactures a wide range of both architectural and structural precast/prestressed concrete products including bridge girders, wall panels, complete parking garages, hollowcore slabs, precast pile, and deck slabs. Strescon presently has two facilities: 70,000 sq. ft. in Saint John, New Brunswick and 50,000 sq. ft. in Bedford, Nova Scotia.
In addition to our engineered precast facilities for custom components, Strescon also operates a 32,000 sq. ft. facility in Saint John which manufactures standard concrete products for engineered drainage systems, such as pipe, manholes and catch basins.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Management Professional with a strong background in construction project management to lead complex projects and direct a team of Project Management professionals across multiple production and installation sites. This role is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of precast projects from design coordination through production, delivery, and erection, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of large-scale precast concrete projects, including coordination with design, production, transportation, and erection teams
- Ensure project milestones, schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met across all phases
- Serve as the primary point of contact and facilitator for internal and external stakeholders
- Resolve project issues and conflicts proactively to maintain client satisfaction
- Direct and mentor a team of Project Management professionals across multiple plant and field locations
- Standardize project management practices and reporting across the team
- Conduct site visits and team meetings to ensure alignment and performance
Technical Requirements
- Related work experience, technical diploma or a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft Project, Excel, and modeling software.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in construction project management, with 1 to 3 years of people leadership experience
- PMP certification or equivalent is considered an asset
