We are looking for a Technical Lead in BI (Tableau development) for a fulltime permanent engagement. Role is hybrid with 3 days a week on site in Downtown Toronto.

What you will deliver:

• Collaborate with the Business Solutions Analysts and Product Owners to fully understand solution requirements, identify risks and determine architectural patterns
• Create technical designs that appropriately address business needs. This includes, but is not limited to, designing/developing system integrations, developing/ implementing business intelligence solutions and implementing mobile applications
• Create and maintain appropriate reference documentation for development teams
• Assist development teams in developing solutions when required
• Lead and develop technical design sessions for facilitation with other members of the team and external vendors
• Ensure technical designs are aligned with technical-long term strategies and properly integrated with the organization’s business
• Ensure business solutions are developed and maintained in a manner that is conducive to information access security policies and architectural standards and guidelines

What your strengths are:

• Excellent knowledge of architectural design patterns
• Hands-on experience building large distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with major Cloud providers’ infrastructure and services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Excellent understanding of solution development lifecycle concepts
• Good knowledge of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS concepts
• Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills

What you need to succeed:

• Post-secondary education in Information Technology or Computer Science
• Minimum 7 years of application software development
• Minimum 3 years of architecting and designing business solutions
• Experience with Agile development methodology
