Production Artist / Graphic Designer - 3 Month Contract

Job Description We're looking for a Digital Designer/Production Artist for a 3-month contract role who shares our enthusiasm for making pets (and their humans) happy. Are you detail-driven and someone who thrives on turning creative concepts into high-volume, high-quality deliverables across digital and print platforms? Your strength is production: efficiently executing, resizing, and versioning creative across channels with speed and precision.
In this role, you’ll be the go-to for adapting and producing a wide range of assets—think paid media ads, web banners, emails, social posts, and print materials—based on established brand guidelines.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities What You'll Do
- Translate creative direction into production-ready assets across digital and print
- Adapt existing designs into multiple sizes and formats while maintaining brand consistency
- Collaborate with designers, copywriter, and channel leads to meet campaign deliverables
- Prep and package files for delivery or deployment with accuracy and attention to detail
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, pet-loving environment
What You'll Bring To The Table
- Strong portfolio showcasing design and production experience across print, web and digital mediums.
- Proven experience in a production-focused role, ideally in a marketing or agency setting
- You're a master of Figma, Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects.
- Strong organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail while ensuring high-quality control while managing multiple projects
- Ability to think critically, work independently, troubleshoot challenges, and take initiative—while also being a collaborative team player
- 5+ years of solid design and production experience with digital, motion graphics, print, branding design background.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Graphic design/Web diploma from a recognized Community college or University.
- Experience using Asana project management and digital asset management tools.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices for design and development in a retail environment
- You have an eye for exemplary typography, illustration and colour theory.
- Dynamic, driven, good-listener, team-oriented, with ability to handle and learn from constructive
- criticism
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines is essential to keep up in our fast-paced environment
- Ability to balance impacts of deadlines and resources with style and quality requirements
- Experience using Asana project management is an asset
