DMS Management Solutions Inc. is currently seeking for a Budget / Financial Analyst to join our accounting team. The Budget / Financial Analyst works under the direction of the Controller. The successful candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of Residential properties for our clients in the North York area.

As a member of the accounting team, the key responsibilities of the Budget/Financial Analyst include:
Job Description
- Take lead in developing and preparing property budgets with managers for entire portfolio.
- Consolidating the property operational budget for review with Senior Management team.
- Prepare/Upload budget information in Yardi financial system.
- Monitoring spending and keeping the organization within its set budget.
- Preparing reports and estimating future financial needs such as establishing “PM burn rate”.
- Review financial statements for variances against budget and coordinate with staff to ensure that budget is being accounted for properly.
- Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondences related to budget.
- Other assignments within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as reasonable requested from time to time by management.
Job Specifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience developing multi-divisional budgets and performing financial analysis using complex financial systems.
- Degree in Business Administration or Accounting, or another field of study relevant to the duties of the position.
- Preferably have Accounting designation like CPA, CGA, CA or DMS or other Accounting designation from country of origin. Or currently enrolled in any Accounting designation in Canada.
- Proficient in using MS excel, MS words and other software.
- Yardi experience is an advantage but not necessary.
- Experience in Property Management is an advantage.
