About the role
Overview: Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist plays a critical role by ensuring HR programs and initiatives meet employee and business objectives for a diverse group including salary and hourly staff. The position provides guidance to employees and responds to a variety of Human Resources related questions.
Responsibilities: • Manage and administer various HR programs and processes, including employee onboarding, Payroll hours calculations, Attendance management and employee relations. • Assist with recruitment efforts, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations. • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding HR policies and procedures. • Assist with the development and implementation of HR initiatives and programs. • Conduct training sessions for employees on various HR topics. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals and objectives. • Create Schedules using Excel • Communicate all schedules and last-minute schedule changes with all our supervisors and managers. • Data input payroll hours weekly. Must be proficient with basic math skills.
Experience: • Diploma or Certificate in Human Resource Management or equivalent experience in Human Resources. • 1-2+ years’ experience in HR generalist role. Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus. • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar role. • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures. • Familiarity with HR sourcing strategies and techniques. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • Knowledge of change management principles is a plus.
