About the role

Are you a results-driven sales professional with a passion for building strong client relationships and driving business growth? Super Sucker Hydro Vac Service (SSHV), part of the Bartels Group, is looking for a Business Development Representative to join our team and help expand our client base in the hydrovac, construction, and industrial services sectors.

JOB DETAILS:

Status: Full-Time, Permanent, Salaried, Commission Structure
Hours:  Office Hours (Monday – Friday) – After hours availability periodically required
Working Conditions: Frequent Travel
Location: 1343 Sandhill Dr, Ancaster ON

About the Role

In this role, you will manage inbound sales inquiries, re-engage dormant accounts, and generate new business opportunities through proactive outreach. You’ll play a key part in strengthening our customer relationships and ensuring exceptional service. Your efforts will directly support SSHV’s mission of delivering safe, reliable, and efficient hydrovac solutions across our growing network.

What You’ll Do

Sales & Account Growth

  • Respond to inbound inquiries with professionalism and accurate service information
  • Reignite and grow dormant accounts through outreach and relationship building
  • Research and pursue new customer leads; build a strong pipeline of prospects
  • Qualify leads and focus efforts on high-potential opportunities
  • Promote service upgrades and additional offerings to existing clients
  • Onboard new clients and ensure smooth transitions through internal coordination
  • Collaborate with field sales teams and occasionally attend client visits

Client Communication & Relationship Management

  • Maintain detailed CRM records of interactions, leads, and follow-ups
  • Align closely with outside sales and operational teams to support client needs
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Educate clients on evolving services and industry developments
  • Represent SSHV at trade shows or community events as needed
  • Present tailored proposals and negotiate pricing within established guidelines

Strategy, Reporting & Improvement

  • Provide regular updates on sales metrics and business development activities
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitor offerings
  • Contribute to strategic sales initiatives and improvement efforts
  • Participate in ongoing sales training and development programs
  • Ensure accurate documentation of processes and forecasting in CRM systems

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Education:

  • 3–5 years in sales, business development, or account management
  • Experience in hydrovac, construction, or industrial services preferred
  • Strong familiarity with CRM systems and pipeline management
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, or related field preferred
  • Sales certifications or training are an asset

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to hit or exceed sales targets
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple leads and accounts
  • Collaborative team player with cross-functional communication skills

Additional Requirements:

  • Comfortable making high volumes of calls and emails daily
  • Willingness to travel locally on occasion for client visits or industry events
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to a dynamic sales environment
