Transitions is seeking a Summer Student to fill the role of:
Life Skills Coach
Transitions, a not-for-profit community agency in St. Albert, offers a variety of supports to children and adults with disabilities and their families.
Within our Children and Family Services program, we are seeking a Life Skills Coach to facilitate meaningful Summer Day Camp opportunities for youth age 10-17. The purpose of the summer camp is to foster independence, friendship, self-worth and community connectedness.
The successful applicant(s) will be between the ages of 18-30. Experience working with children with developmental disabilities is required.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure safety and supervision
- Support youth to be active participants within their community
- Create and explore natural learning opportunities
This position is temporary, from July 8 - August 22, 2025.
Tuesday - Friday 26 hrs./week. Some early evening work may be required.
The successful candidate must possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license and have their own vehicle. When applying applicants must have a clear Child Intervention Check completed in the last 6 months. At the time of hire, a clear Criminal Record Check including the vulnerable sector search, completed within the last 6 months , and a valid Emergency/Standard First Aid - Level C CPR/AED, is also required.

Pay: $20.52-$27.00 per hour
