As a Food Service Aide (FSA) joining our Village, you will:
- Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members.
- Work in an accurate, quick, and safe manner.
- Be able to lift up to 50lbs (5-20 lb usual), and push/pull wheeled equipment such as carts and trolleys that weigh a maximum of 100 lbs (20-50 lb usual).
- Possess exceptional time management skills and ability to work in collaboration with a team.
- Assist in serving meals and beverages to our residents ensuring we meet residents’ diets and food preferences while following safe and sanitary food handling techniques.
- Support with the preparation of catering functions and events, and maintaining a clean dining room and workspace.
- Be able to stand or walk for the majority of your shift (8-hours maximum).
- Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of customer service to our residents.
- Have a valid Smart Serve Certification.
It would be an asset if our new Food Service Aide has:
- Completed, enrolled in or willing to enroll in the Food Services Worker training program
- Hold a valid Food Safety Awareness certification or equivalent.
