Procor Limited manages Canada’s largest private tank car lease fleet and operates an extensive repair network across the country. Our fleet has grown to include more than 30,5000 special purpose tank and freight cars. Procor also operates 28 repair locations servicing the petroleum, petrochemicals, plastics, chemicals, fertilizers and food markets.
Human Resources Coordinator supports recruitment efforts and pre-employment activities between Candidates, Recruiters, Hiring Leaders and HR Business Partners. Responsible for ensuring data accuracy throughout the contract creation, pre-screening and hiring process. Utilizes Applicant Tracking System (MPower) and internal data source to communicate and document recruiting and pre-employment information in real-time. Assists in delivering a seamless interview and pre-employment experience for both New Hires and the Hiring Leaders.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for ensuring candidates receive the appropriate level of contact throughout the entire Recruitment and Pre-employment Process.
- Communicate with candidates and Hiring Leader and inform Recruiter appropriate applicant dispositions.
- Assist Talent Acquisition team in scheduling interviews.
- Administers background checks with appropriate 3rd party provider.
- Schedules Physicals and/or Drug Screens with established vendors (i.e., DISA) – communicates clearly with Candidate and clinic to ensure smooth process and gather/relay all necessary information. Keeps internal data updated in real-time so Recruiters and HR Business Partners know status of each candidate “In Process.”
- Communicates and provides consistent updates with Applicants, Recruiters, Hiring Leaders, and HR Business Partner on pre-employment status.
- Notifies Hiring Leader and new hire of completed pre-employment compliance process and determines start date.
- Responsible for communicating relevant new hire information to all business stakeholders (Payroll, IT, Safety, etc.).
- Prepares and sends communication with first day onboarding information.
- Assist with final applicants’ dispositions in HRIS.
- Handles all pre-employment vendor’s invoices coding and allocation, including post hire compliance testing.
- Assist Talent Acquisition team by participating in recruiting open houses, job fairs, and campus recruiting.
- Promptly identifies and reports delays in pre-employment process to HR Manager and Talent Acquisition Manager.
- Anticipates and follows-up on requests and issues with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
- During times of high-volume recruiting, HRC may be required to support the TA team on various administrative tasks (i.e., high level screenings, job postings, etc.).
- Other duties as assigned.

- Possess a keen attention to detail and organization, time management, and ability to continually reprioritize work activities.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain sensitive information in strictest confidence and uphold absolute confidentiality in all Recruitment and HR matters.
- Self-motivated, goal oriented, highly responsive and able to take initiative and work successfully both independently and as a team member.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional, pleasant demeanor in a variety of settings with current, new, and potential employees.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office product (Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint) is required for use with managing general candidate correspondence, scheduling interviews, managing data entry and reporting out of Excel, and assisting in edit/production of presentations.
- Intermediate Internet skills are required for use with research and data mining.
Education/Experience/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study preferred; or Associates degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or a minimum of 4 years of experience within a similar role.
- Within years of experience, a minimum of 1 year working in HR/Recruiting function with a working understanding of recruiting and HR concepts, policies, and administrative procedures is required.
- Workday system experience preferred.
Working Conditions
- Primarily remote working conditions (work from home), but able to work in an office environment.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to company sites and/or corporate office.
- Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
6 Month Contract - No benefits
Pay: $60,000.00-$68,200.00 per year
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Prolium primarily specializes in the repair, modification and maintenance of Above Ground Storage Tanks for a number of companies with assets across the country involved in all stages of oil and gas production. We have experience repairing large and small tanks (20’ – 300’+ in diameter) with varying scopes of work, from small tasks such as rolling ladder and roof / seal modifications to complete floor, concrete ring-wall and annular replacements.
Complementary to our Tank Repair division, Prolium is in a unique position to provide project management, skilled tradesman, laborers and equipment to industrial companies as well as the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies which they hire to construct industrial complexes. Although this work is primarily performed for companies building large oil and gas complexes in Western Canada, Prolium is available to provide our extensive skills to any large industrial construction project throughout Canada.
