About the role
Located in the Cobourg plant and reporting to the Reactor Components Coordinator, the position typically involves the following activities:
- Following established safety procedures and work instructions.
- Performing mathematical calculations to determine operating parameters within established guidelines
- Performing visual inspections.
- Reading and Interpreting inspection reports.
- Using precision measurement devices.
- Safely handling hazardous processing chemicals including hydrofluoric and nitric acid.
- Using an overhead crane to transfer products between process steps
- Being trained and qualified in multiple other mechanical processes to support project success.
- Operation is normally scheduled to run a split shift from 11am – 7pm.
Requirements of the position:
- Proven mechanical aptitude or hands on experience.
- Vocational or technical training in a relevant discipline.
Assets:
- Previous qualification and/or previous calandria tube manufacturing experience
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
- 1-2 years of chemical handling/process experience
