As an Intermediate React Native Developer reporting to the Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for building app features in a cross-collaborative team to provide Goodfood members with world-class app experience. You will have exposure to every aspect of the software development cycle to build a new eCommerce experience that will operate at a massive scale and improve the lives of millions of Canadians.
The Role Responsibilities:
- Build quality code for our React Native mobile application on iOS and Android
- Architect and implement new features and improvements to our existing mobile app
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Backend) to deliver high-quality solutions
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices
- Implement responsive UI components using Tailwind CSS
- Ensure proper integration with our backend services, Firebase and Algolia
- Optimize app performance and implement best practices for mobile development
- Participate in agile development processes and sprint planning
What you will need:
- 5+ years of experience in mobile app development
- Strong proficiency in React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with state management solutions (Context API, Redux)
- Experience with REST and GraphQL API integration
- Some experience with regionalization is a plus
- Solid understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and responsive design
- Experience with Firebase services (Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics)
- Knowledge of mobile app testing frameworks and methodologies
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and mobile app deployment (Bitrise)
- Understanding of mobile app performance optimization
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development
