About the role
We are a nonprofit working across Canada supporting teens and young adults living with ADHD Autism as they move toward independence. Many of the families we serve navigate systems that don’t recognize their needs. Our work helps them build essential life skills, self-advocacy, and stability, but behind that work, we rely on strong, secure, and working tech.
We are looking for reliable volunteers with IT experience who can support our remote team with basic troubleshooting, systems support, and occasional tech fixes.
Your Role
- Solve email, login, and VPN access issues
- Support backups
- Troubleshoot file sharing, connectivity, and small tech barriers
- Provide light website support (WordPress knowledge is a plus)
- Help us stay secure, connected, and functional as we grow
- Email issues, etc.
This is a behind-the-scenes role, but a critical one that allows our team to stay focused on the youth who need us.
Who You Are
- Experienced in IT support or tech troubleshooting (formal or informal)
- Patient, detail-oriented, and solution-focused
- Learning as you go and don't give up easily
- Comfortable working independently and checking in regularly
- Reliable, with a strong sense of responsibility
- Passionate about supporting youth, mental health, or neurodiversity
Commitment
- 4–6 hours per month, flexible
- Remote role, can be based anywhere in Canada or the U.S.
- Monthly check-ins and hour tracking for consistency
- Volunteer position
We understand IT needs come in waves. You won’t be expected to work every week, but we do ask for a consistent monthly commitment and availability when support is needed.
If you are passionate about technology and enjoy helping others navigate their IT challenges, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity!
