Position Overview:

IPH is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Designer proficient in Rivet to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience creating detailed mechanical models from scratch and enhancing existing models to a Level of Development (LOD) 400 standard. This role requires close coordination with engineers, consultants, internal trades, and other designers to ensure seamless integration, execution of mechanical systems and bring cutting-edge innovative designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D mechanical models using Revit, either by creating new models or enhancing existing ones to meet LOD 400 specifications.
• Work closely with engineers, consultants, internal trades, and fellow designers to gather project requirements and ensure accurate representation of mechanical systems.
• Integrate mechanical designs with architectural and structural components, ensuring compatibility and compliance with project standards.
• Generate precise and detailed drawings and specifications from 3D models for use in fabrication and construction.
• Review and adjust models based on stakeholder feedback, conducting thorough checks to ensure accuracy and adherence to design specifications.
• Identify and resolve any issues related to mechanical design and Revit modeling promptly.
• Ensure all models and designs comply with industry standards, codes, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong emphasis on Revit modeling. Experience with LOD 400 modeling is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes. Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
• Strong focus on accuracy and precision in design and modeling tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a knack for effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve design and modeling challenges efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and project schedules.
