About the role
The Vision Truck Group is looking for a driven and experienced Parts & Service Manager to lead our London Hino location. This is a high-impact leadership role ideal for someone with a strong background in heavy truck or equipment operations, outstanding customer service skills, and proven management experience in both Parts and Service departments.
As a Parts & Service Manager, you will oversee daily operations of both departments, lead a skilled team, and ensure an exceptional customer experience from parts ordering to repair delivery. You will report to the Directors of Parts and Service and be part of a fast-paced, supportive, and growth-oriented environment.
What You’ll Do
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the London Parts and Service teams, setting goals, coaching staff, and fostering a collaborative work culture.
- Participate in management meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Hire, train, evaluate, and motivate department staff.
- Monitor and report on KPIs for both departments; lead weekly team meetings.
Customer Service & Sales
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with retail, wholesale, and fleet customers.
- Ensure timely and accurate estimates, quotes, and service timelines for customers and internal jobs.
- Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain high service standards aligned with Certified Uptime Dealer and Paperless Operations processes.
Operational Excellence
- Balance parts inventory, reduce obsolescence, and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Enforce special-order policies and ensure stock orders represent at least 90% of parts purchases.
- Collaborate with the service team to ensure efficient repair workflows and parts availability.
- Oversee payroll submissions, daily paperwork, expense tracking, and scheduling.
Health & Safety
- Enforce safety standards and compliance across both departments.
- Investigate incidents, respond to hazards, and ensure proper PPE usage.
- Maintain safety documentation and ensure employees are up to date on procedures.
What You Bring
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the heavy equipment, truck, or transportation industry.
- At least 3 years in a supervisory or management role in either a Parts or Service department (both preferred).
- Knowledge of inventory management, pricing strategies, service workflow, and warranty administration.
- Strong leadership, coaching, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with digital systems, repair order software, inventory tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising service quality.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills; comfort with financial and performance reporting.
