THE ROLE
Military Family Services stewards the Military and Veteran Family Services Program to help military and veteran families manage the demands of family life, work and operational needs. Many stakeholders and partners work together and contribute to the well-being of military and veteran families.
The Family Liaison Officer is a dedicated staff member of Military Family Services NCR that offers support within the greater transition team for military families who are releasing from the CAF and for those that may be experiencing illness, injury or loss. The Family Liaison Officer conducts intake assessments, provides short-term counselling, and connects families with community partners.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, or a related field
AND
Extensive experience in social work, counselling, or human services.
Must be registered or eligible for registration, and registered before commencement of employment, with a recognized professional regulatory body (e.g., OCSWSSW, CRPO, etc.) Counsellors must be registered in their respective provinces, where clients are located, and must adhere to the expectations of their professional body.
